Regional Awards
Each year members Region 6 nominates exemplary individuals for numerous awards ACSA sponsors. These awards recognize individuals and bring distinction to the individual's school/district.
Below is the timeline for the 2011-12 Region Awards. All nominations are to go through the charter president or designee and then forwarded to Karen Sakata, Region Award Chairperson. All nominees will be recognized at the Leadership Summit Awards Dinner on May 4, 2011. Nominees do not have to be ACSA members; however, Region winners must be ACSA members.

State Awards

Each year, ACSA recognizes a select group of
individuals for their significant contributions to education through
three prestigious awards named in memory of past ACSA leaders:
- Ferd Kiesel Distinguished Service Award
- Marcus Foster Memorial Award
- Robert E. Kelly Retiree Award
In addition, members are honored for outstanding
performance and achievement as Administrator of the Year in various
job-alike categories.
The Valuing Diversity Award is given to the
member whose efforts to promote diversity epitomize ACSAís
mission statement.
The Outstanding Media Coverage of Public Education
Award recognizes media outlets that go above and beyond regular
reporting to highlight the many attributes of public education.All
18 regions are encouraged to honor a journalist/media outlet annually.
This award also helps to further ACSA's working relationships with
the news media.
Programs and businesses that collaborate with
administrators in support of education are also recognized though
the Partners in Educational Excellence Award.
Students of all grade levels are recognized
through the Every Student Succeeding Program, designed to honor
students who have succeeded against all odds. |
